“But you must not be called ‘Teacher.’ You are all brothers and sisters together. You have only one Teacher.


The followers obeyed and did the thing Jesus told them to do. They prepared the Passover meal.


“You know that the day after tomorrow is Passover. {\cf2\super [391]} On that day the Son of Man {\cf2\super [392]} will be given \{to his enemies\} to be killed on a cross.”


So Judas went to Jesus and said, “Hello, teacher!” Then Judas kissed Jesus.


Jesus was still there speaking. Some men came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue {\cf2\super [58]} leader. The men said, “Your daughter is dead. There is now no need to bother the teacher (Jesus).”


I was with you every day in the temple {\cf2\super [363]} area. Why didn’t you try to arrest me there? But this is your time—the time when darkness (sin) rules.”


After Martha said these things, she went back to her sister Mary. Martha talked to Mary alone. Martha said, “The Teacher (Jesus) is here. He is asking for you.”


Jesus said to them, “Now is the time for the Son of Man {\cf2\super [200]} to receive his glory.


It was almost time for the Jewish Passover {\cf2\super [207]} festival. Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world. It was now time for Jesus to go back to the Father. Jesus had always loved those people in the world who were his. Now was the time Jesus showed them his love the most.


After Jesus said these things he looked toward heaven. Jesus prayed, “Father, the time has come. Give glory to your Son so that the Son can give glory to you.


Jesus said to her, “Mary.”


When Jesus said this, the people tried to get him. But no person was able to touch Jesus. It was not yet the right time \{for Jesus to be killed\}.


Jesus said to his brothers, “The right time for me has not yet come. But any time is right for you \{to go\}.


So you go to the festival. I will not go to the festival now. The right time for me has not yet come.”
