“But those people tell other people, ‘Don’t come near me! Don’t touch me until I make you clean.’ Those people are like smoke in my eyes. And their fire burns all the time.”


You people that obey the Lord’s commands\par should listen to the things\par the Lord says,\par “Your brothers hated you.\par They turned against you\par because you followed me.\par Your brothers said,\par ‘We will come back to you\par when the Lord is honored.\par Then we will be happy with you.’\par Those bad people will be punished.\par


You will be taken to stand before governors and kings. People will do this to you because of me. You will tell about me to those kings and governors and to the non-Jewish people.


All people will hate you because you follow me. But the person that continues strong until the end will be saved.


Any person that loves his life \{more than he loves me\} will lose true life. Any person that gives up his life for me will find true life.


So the farmers threw the son out of the vineyard and killed him.

But many people believed in Jesus. Even many of the Jewish leaders believed in Jesus. But they were afraid of the Pharisees. {\cf2\super [205]} So they did not say openly that they believed. They were afraid that they would be put out of the synagogue. {\cf2\super [206]}


People will make you leave their synagogues. {\cf2\super [222]} Yes, a time is coming when people will think that killing you would be doing service for God.


I have given them your teaching. And the world has hated them. The world hated these men, because they don’t belong to the world, the same as I don’t belong to the world.


The world cannot hate you. But the world hates me. Why? Because I tell the people in the world that they do evil things.


The Jewish leaders answered, “You were born full of sin! Are you trying to teach us?” And the Jewish leaders forced the man to leave.


The people stopped listening when Paul said this last thing \{about going to the non-Jewish people\}. They all shouted, “Kill him! Get him out of the world! A man like this should not be allowed to live!”


This man (Paul) is a troublemaker. He makes trouble with the Jews everywhere in the world. He is a leader of the Nazarene group.


I will show Saul the things he must suffer for my name.”


What great blessings there are for the person who is tempted and still continues strong. Why? Because after he has proved his faith, God will give him the reward of life forever. God promised this to all people who love him.


But you may suffer for doing right. If that happens, then you are blessed (happy). “Don’t be afraid of those people \{that make you suffer\}; don’t be worried.” {\cf2\super [25]}
