“Look at my Servant!\par I support him.\par He is the one I chose.\par And I am very pleased with him.\par I put my Spirit in him.\par He will judge the nations fairly.\par


“Here is my servant;\par I (God) have chosen him.\par I love him, and I am pleased with him;\par I will put my Spirit {\cf2\super [166]} on him,\par and he will judge the nations fairly.\par


While Peter was talking, a bright cloud came over them. A voice came from the cloud. The voice said, “This (Jesus) is my Son and I love him. I am very pleased with him. Obey him!”


He trusted God. So let God save him now, if God really wants him. He himself said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”


At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan River. Jesus came to John and wanted John to baptize {\cf2\super [44]} him.


Jesus was baptized {\cf2\super [46]} and he came up out of the water. The sky opened, and he saw God’s Spirit coming down on him like a dove.


And a voice spoke from heaven. The voice said, “This (Jesus) is my Son and I love him. I am very pleased with him.”


A voice came from heaven and said: “You are my Son and I love you. I am very pleased with you.”


At that time Jesus came from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to the place where John was. John baptized {\cf2\super [8]} Jesus in the Jordan River.


Then a cloud came and covered them. A voice came from the cloud and said, “This (Jesus) is my Son and I love him. Obey him!”


“Praise God in heaven,\par and on earth let there be peace\par to the people that please God.”\par


Jesus began to speak to them. He said, “While you heard me reading these words just now, the words were coming true!”


Father, do what will bring you glory!”


And the Father that sent me has given proof about me himself. But you have never heard his voice. You have never seen what he looks like.


You know about Jesus from Nazareth. God made him the Christ {\cf2\super [213]} by giving him the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [214]} and power. Jesus went everywhere doing good things for people. Jesus healed the people that were ruled by the devil. This showed that God was with Jesus.


God made us free from the power of darkness (evil). And he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Jesus).


The Lord \{Jesus\} is the “stone {\cf2\super [13]} ” that lives. The people \{of the world\} decided they did not want that stone (Jesus). But he was the stone God chose. To God he was worth much. So come to him.
