“So three times each year all the men will come {to the special place} to be with the Lord your Master.


Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Passover {\cf2\super [41]} festival.


When the feast days were finished, they went home. But the boy Jesus stayed in Jerusalem. His parents did not know about it.


Jesus traveled to Nazareth, the town where he grew up. On the Sabbath day {\cf2\super [69]} he went to the synagogue {\cf2\super [70]} like he always did. Jesus stood up to read.


When Jesus arrived in Galilee, the people there welcomed him. These people had seen all the things Jesus did at the \{Passover {\cf2\super [70]} \} festival in Jerusalem. These people had been at the festival too.
