God makes proud people ashamed.\par But God helps humble people.\par


Compared to God, no person is good.\par No human being {\cf2\super [45]} can really be pure.\par


I am innocent, but the things I say\par make me seem guilty.\par I am innocent, but if I speak\par my mouth proves me guilty.\par


God is very important,\par but he still cares for humble people.\par God knows what proud people do,\par but he stays far away from them.\par


Don’t judge me, your servant.\par Never, in all my life, could I ever be judged innocent.\par


Now I know the Lord is greater than all the gods. They thought they were in control, but look what God did!


A proud person will soon be ruined. But an humble person will be honored.


It is much better for the king to invite you himself. But if you invite yourself, then you might be embarrassed in front of other people.


If a person thinks he is better than other people, then that will destroy him. But if a person is humble, then other people will respect him.


If a person is proud and makes fun of other people, the Lord will punish him and make fun of him. But the Lord is kind to humble people.


So go and eat your food now and enjoy it. Drink your wine and be happy. It is all right with God if you do these things.


The Lord will help the people of Israel do good, and the people will be very proud of their God.


He will suffer many things in his soul, but he will see the good things that happen. He will be satisfied with the things he learns. My Good Servant will make many people not guilty; he will carry away their guilt.


God is high and lifted up.\par God lives forever.\par God’s name is holy.\par God says:\par I live in a high and holy place,\par but also with people that are\par sad and humble.\par I will give new life to the people\par that are humble in spirit.\par I will give new life to the people\par that are sad in their hearts.\par


I myself made all things.\par All things are here because I made them.”\par The Lord himself said these things.\par “Tell me, what people do I care for?\par I care for the poor people.\par I care for the people that are very sad.\par I care for people that obey my words.\par


Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, give praise, honor, and glory to the King of Heaven. Everything he does is right. He is always fair. And he is able to make proud people humble!


This message can’t help people that refuse to listen to it. But a \{good person will believe this message. And the\} good person will live because of his faith.”


Every person that makes himself better than other people will be made humble. Every person that makes himself humble will be made great.


“What great blessings there are for the people that \{know they\} have spiritual needs!\par The kingdom of heaven belongs to them.\par


God brought down rulers from their thrones,\par and he raised up the humble people.\par


But the man wanted to show that the way he was living was right. So he said to Jesus, “But who are these other people I must love?”


Every person that makes himself important will be made humble. But the person that makes himself humble will be made important.”


Jesus said to the Pharisees, “You make yourselves look good in front of people. But God knows what is really in your hearts. The things that people think are important are worth nothing to God.


Why? Because no person can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.


But a person cannot do any work that will make him right with God. So that person must trust in God. Then God accepts that person’s faith (trust), and that makes him right with God. God is the One who makes even evil people right.


We have been made right with God because of our faith. So we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.


Who can accuse the people that God has chosen? No one! God is the One who makes his people right.


We know that a person is not made right with God by following the law. {\cf2\super [18]} No! It is trusting in Jesus Christ that makes a person right with God. So we have put our faith in Christ Jesus, because we wanted to be made right with God. And we are right with God because we trusted in Christ—not because we followed the law. \{This is true\} because no person can be made right with God by following the law.


Be humble before the Lord, and he will make you great.


But the grace (kindness) that God gives is greater. Like the Scripture says, “God is against proud people, but he gives grace (kindness) to people who are humble.” {\cf2\super [22]}


Hannah said, “I hope you are happy with me.” Then Hannah left and ate something. She was not sad any more.
