A poor person has no friends, not even his neighbor. But rich people have many friends.


These two things will make you poor—hurting poor people to make yourself rich, and giving gifts to rich people.


If you love only the people that love you, then you will get no reward. Even the tax collectors {\cf2\super [72]} do that.


God filled the hungry people\par with good things,\par but he sent the \{selfishly\} rich people\par away with nothing.\par


Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord (God) was very good to her. They were happy for her.
