The gatekeepers’ relatives that lived in the small towns had to come and help them at certain times. They came and helped the gatekeepers for seven days each time.


Then Zechariah came outside, but he could not speak to them. So the people knew that Zechariah had seen a vision {\cf2\super [9]} inside the temple. Zechariah could not speak. He could only make signs to the people.


Later, Zechariah’s wife, Elizabeth, became pregnant. So she did not go out of her house for five months. Elizabeth said,
