God blessed them and said to them, “Have many children. Fill the earth and take control of it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. Rule over every living thing that moves on the earth.”


Then the Lord God said to the woman,


David sent messengers to go and bring Bathsheba to him. When she came to David, he had sexual relations with her. She washed herself, and then went back to her house.


“But what does something clean\par have in common with something dirty?\par Nothing!\par


“A man can’t really be pure.\par A person {\cf2\super [25]} can’t be more right than God!\par


Compared to God, no person is good.\par No human being {\cf2\super [45]} can really be pure.\par


I was born in sin,\par and in sin my mother conceived me.\par


But if the woman gives birth to a girl, then the mother will be unclean for two weeks, the same as for her monthly time of bleeding. It will be 66 days before she becomes clean from her loss of blood.


“If a woman has a discharge [249] from her monthly time of bleeding, she will be unclean [250] for seven days. If any person touches her, that person will be unclean until evening.


“Also you must not go near a woman to have sexual relations with [326] her during her monthly time of bleeding. She is unclean [327] during this time.


There are many things that come from a person that make a person unclean. A person might touch any of these things from another person, but not know about it. When that person learns that he has touched something unclean, he will be guilty.


The time came for Mary and Joseph to do the things the law of Moses taught about being made pure. {\cf2\super [31]} Joseph and Mary brought Jesus to Jerusalem so they could present him to the Lord (God).
