The people of Israel were not loyal to the family of Jerub Baal (Gideon), even though he had done many good things for them.


But the thornbush said to the trees, “If you really want to make me king over you, come and find shelter in my shade. But if you do not want to do this, then let fire come out of the thornbush. Let the fire burn even the cedar trees of Lebanon.”


But think what my father did for you. My father fought for you. He risked his life when he saved you from the people of Midian.
