But the leading priests and the Pharisees {\cf2\super [188]} had given a special order about Jesus. They said that if any person knew where Jesus was, the person must tell them. Then the leading priests and the Pharisees could arrest Jesus.


So the Pharisees {\cf2\super [198]} said to each other, “Look! Our plan is not working. All the people are following him!”


But many people believed in Jesus. Even many of the Jewish leaders believed in Jesus. But they were afraid of the Pharisees. {\cf2\super [205]} So they did not say openly that they believed. They were afraid that they would be put out of the synagogue. {\cf2\super [206]}


The people asked the man, “Where is this man (Jesus)?”


Jesus had made mud and healed the man’s eyes. The day Jesus did this was a Sabbath day. {\cf2\super [153]}
