{The famine [242] was also bad in Canaan.} But Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt. So Jacob said to his sons, “Why are we sitting here doing nothing?


They were all eating. Then Jesus said, “I tell you the truth. One of you twelve here will soon give me to my enemies.”


The followers were very sad to hear this. Each follower said to Jesus, “Lord, surely I am not the one!”


While they were all at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth. One of you will be against me—one of you eating with me now.”

Jesus said, “One of you will soon be against me. His hand is by my hand on the table.


Then the apostles {\cf2\super [352]} asked each other, “Which one of us would do that to Jesus?”


“I am not talking about all of you. I know the people I have chosen. But what the Scripture {\cf2\super [208]} said must happen: ‘The man that shared my food has turned against me.’ {\cf2\super [209]}


After Jesus said these things, he felt very troubled. Jesus said openly, “I tell you the truth. One of you will be against me.”
