Is anything too hard for the Lord? No! I will come again in the spring when I said I would. And your wife Sarah will have a son.”


“But God never changes.\par No person can stand against God.\par God does anything he wants.\par


“God is the ruler.\par He makes people fear and respect Him.\par He keeps peace in his kingdom above.\par


Then Job answered the Lord. Job said,


The Lord does anything he wants,\par in heaven and earth,\par in the seas and deep oceans.\par


You know when I sit down\par and when I get up.\par You know my thoughts from far away.\par


Surely, God knows these things.\par He knows even our deepest secrets.\par


People get a lot of ideas, but only the Lord’s plan will happen.


I learned that anything God does will continue forever. People can’t add anything to the work of God. And people can’t take anything away from the work of God. God did this so people would respect him.


When the Lord makes a plan, no person can stop that plan. When the Lord raises his arm to punish people, no person can stop him.


“I have always been God. When I do something, no person can change what I have done. And no person can save people from my power.”


“In the beginning, I told you about the things that will happen in the end. A long time ago, I told you things that had not yet happened. When I plan something—that thing happens. I do the things I want to do.


But I am the Lord,\par and I can look into a person’s heart.\par I can test a person’s mind.\par I can decide what each person should have.\par I can give each person the right payment\par for the things he does.\par


“Lord God, you made the skies and the earth. You made them with your great power. There is nothing too wonderful for you to do.


The Lord my Master says these things: “At that time, an idea will come into your mind. You will begin to make an evil plan.


You will be forced to go away from people. You will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass like a cow. Seven seasons (years) will pass before you learn your lesson. Then you will learn that God Most High rules over the kingdoms of men. And that God Most High gives kingdoms to anyone he wants.”


People on earth are not truly important.\par God does what he wants\par with the powers of heaven\par and the people on earth.\par No one can stop his powerful hand!\par No one can question the things he does!\par


Jesus looked at his followers and said, “This is something that people cannot do themselves. But God can do all things.”

Jesus prayed, “Abba, {\cf2\super [206]} Father! You can do all things. Let me not have this cup {\cf2\super [207]} \{of suffering\}. But do what you want, not what I want.”


Jesus answered, “God can do things that are not possible for people to do!”


A third time Jesus said, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”


In Christ we were chosen \{to be God’s people\}. God had already planned for us to be his people, because that is what God wanted. And God is the One who makes everything agree with what he decides and wants.
