People will push him away from light\par into the darkness.\par They will chase him out of this world.\par


The light in his house will become dark.\par The lamp next to him will go out.\par


God has blocked my way\par so I can’t go through.\par He has hidden my path in darkness.\par


The bad things that happened to me\par are like a black cloud over my face.\par But that darkness won’t keep me quiet.\par


“I always thought I would live a long life,\par growing old with my family around me.\par


Light and happiness shine on good people.\par


The people that respect the Lord also listen to his servant. That servant lives completely trusting in God without knowing what will happen. He truly trusts in the Lord’s name, and that servant depends on his God.


All fairness and goodness is gone.\par There is only darkness near us,\par so we must wait for the light.\par We hope for a bright light,\par but all we have is darkness.\par


“Lord, have you completely rejected\par the nation of Judah?\par Lord, do you hate Zion {\cf2\super [124]} ?\par You hurt us so badly\par that we can’t be made well again.\par Why did you do that?\par We were hoping for peace,\par but nothing good has come.\par We were hoping for a time of healing,\par but only terror came.\par


I don’t understand why I still hurt.\par I don’t understand why my wound\par is not cured and cannot be healed.\par Lord, I think you have changed.\par You are like a spring of water\par that became dry.\par You are like a spring\par whose water has stopped flowing.\par


We hoped to have peace,\par but nothing good has come.\par We hoped that he would forgive us,\par but only disaster has come.\par


The Lord led and brought me\par into darkness, not light.\par


People living in Maroth {\cf2\super [20]} become weak\par waiting for good \{news to come\}.\par Why? Because trouble has come down\par from the Lord to the city gate of Jerusalem.\par
