I wish you would just be quiet. That would be the wisest thing you could do.


Good people are upset about this.\par Innocent people are upset at people\par that don’t care about God.\par


But when the three friends saw Job from far away, they were not sure it was Job—he looked so different! They began to cry loudly. They tore their clothes and threw dirt in the air and on their heads \{to show they were sad and upset\}.


The leaders of the people stopped talking\par and put their hand to their mouth\par \{to make other people be quiet\}.\par


“I am too insignificant to speak!\par What can I say to you?\par I can’t answer you!\par I will put my hand over my mouth.\par


I will not open my mouth.\par I will not say anything.\par Lord, you did what should be done.\par


If you are foolish enough to become proud and make plans against other people, then stop and think about what you are doing.


At that time, wise teachers will be quiet.\par Why? Because it is a bad time.\par


The nations will see those miracles,\par and they will be ashamed.\par They will see that their “power”\par \{is nothing compared to mine\}.\par They will \{be amazed\}\par and put their hands over their mouths!\par They will cover their ears\par \{and refuse to listen\}.\par


Yes, God’s riches are very great! God’s wisdom and knowledge have no end! No person can explain the things God decides. No person can understand God’s ways.


The five men answered, “Be quiet! Don’t say a word. Come with us. Be our father and our priest. You must choose. Is it better for you to be a priest for just one man? Or is it better for you to be a priest for a whole family group of Israelite people?”
