“Pharaoh, you had two dreams about the same thing. Why? God wanted to show you that he really will make this happen. And he will make it happen soon!


In the same way, my words leave my mouth,\par and they don’t come back until they make things happen.\par My words make the things happen that I want to happen.\par My words succeed in doing the things I send them to do.\par


The Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I answered, “I see figs. The good figs are very good. And the rotten figs are very rotten. They are too rotten to eat.”


These men say, ‘We will be building our houses again very soon. \{We are as safe in this city as\} meat in a pot!’


Now, the Lord our Master says these things, ‘Those dead bodies are the meat. And the city is the pot. But he (Nebuchadnezzar) will come and take you out of this safe pot!


The Lord said to me, “Amos, what do you see?”


Then the angel asked me, “What do you see?”
