“Lord, I am waiting for your salvation.”


God, why do you avoid me,\par and treat me like your enemy?\par


If a person dies, will he live again?\par I would wait as long as I must\par until I could be set free.\par


So Job, God won’t listen to you\par when you say that you don’t see him.\par You say you are waiting for your chance\par to meet with God and prove\par that you are innocent.\par


I am waiting for the Lord to help me.\par My soul waits for him.\par I trust what the Lord says.\par


Wait for the Lord’s help!\par Be strong and brave,\par and wait for the Lord’s help!\par


So we will wait for the Lord.\par He helps us and he protects us.\par


Do what the Lord says\par and wait for his help.\par The Lord will make you the winner,\par and you will get the land \{God promised\},\par when he forces the bad people to leave.\par


So, Master, what hope do I have?\par You are my hope!\par


I called {\cf2\super [245]} to the Lord, and he heard me.\par He heard my cries.\par


“You people will raise your arms to pray to me—but I will refuse to look at you. You people will say more and more prayers—but I will refuse to listen to you. Why? Because your hands are covered with blood.


At that time, people will say,\par “Here is our God!\par He is the One we have been waiting for.\par He has come to save us.\par We have been waiting for our Lord.\par So we will rejoice and be happy\par when the Lord saves us.”\par


But Lord, we are waiting for your\par way of justice.\par Our souls want to remember\par you and your name.\par


The Lord wants to show his mercy to you. The Lord is waiting. The Lord wants to rise and comfort you. The Lord God is fair, and every person that waits for the Lord’s help will be blessed (happy).


“Lord, be kind to us.\par We have waited for your help.\par Lord, give us strength every morning.\par Save us when we are in trouble.\par


God, you are the God people can’t see.\par You are the Savior of Israel.\par


The people that respect the Lord also listen to his servant. That servant lives completely trusting in God without knowing what will happen. He truly trusts in the Lord’s name, and that servant depends on his God.


I became very angry\par and hid from you for a short time.\par But I will comfort you with kindness forever.”\par The Lord your Savior said this.\par


These people did evil things,\par and it made me angry.\par So, I punished Israel.\par I turned away from him\par because I was angry.\par And Israel left me.\par He went wherever he wanted.\par


But your sins separate you from your God. The Lord sees your sins, and he turns away from you.


Your people never really listened to you.\par Your people never really heard\par the things you said.\par No person has ever seen a God like you.\par There is no other God—only you.\par If people are patient\par and wait for you to help them,\par then you will do great things for them.\par


We are all dirty with sin.\par Even our good works \{are not pure\}.\par They are like blood-stained rags.\par We are all like dead leaves.\par Our sins have carried us away like wind.\par


We don’t worship you.\par We don’t trust in your name.\par We aren’t excited about following you.\par So you have turned away from us.\par We are helpless before you,\par because we are full of sin.\par


“The people in Jerusalem have done many bad things. I am angry at those people. I have turned against them. So I will kill many, many people there. The Babylonian army will come to fight against Jerusalem. There will be many, many dead bodies in the houses in Jerusalem.


So come back to your God. Be loyal to him. Do the right thing! Always trust your God!


So, you might pray to the Lord,\par but he will not answer you.\par No, the Lord will hide his face from you.\par Why? Because you do evil things!”\par


So I will look to the Lord \{for help\}!\par I will wait for God to save me.\par My God will hear me.\par


This message is about a special time in the future. This message is about the end, and it will come true! \{It may seem like that time will never come.\} But be patient and wait for it. That time will come. It will not be late.


Anna was there when Joseph and Mary came to the temple. She praised God and talked about Jesus to all the people who were waiting for God to free Jerusalem.


Then Jesus began to explain everything that had been written about himself in the Scriptures. {\cf2\super [393]} Jesus started with the books of Moses and then he talked about what the prophets had said about him.


So the Lord said, ‘I will turn away from them, then let’s see what happens! They are a rebellious people. They are like children who won’t learn their lessons!


You began waiting for God’s Son to come from heaven. God raised that Son from death. He is Jesus, who saves us from God’s angry judgment that is coming.


We pray that the Lord will lead your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s patience.


So Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people. And Christ will come a second time, but not for people’s sin. Christ will come the second time to bring salvation to those people who are waiting for him.
