13 That will happen when you stop sinning against God’s law about the Sabbath. {\cf2\super [447]} And that will happen when you stop doing things to please yourself on that special day. You should call the Sabbath a happy day. You should honor the Lord’s special day. You should honor that special day by not doing and saying those things you do every other day.

I was very happy when people said,\par “Let us go to the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [611]} ”\par


I ask only one thing from the Lord:\par “Let me sit in his temple {\cf2\super [161]} all my life,\par so I can see the Lord’s beauty\par and visit his palace. {\cf2\super [162]} ”\par


My heart breaks as I remember\par \{the good times I had at the temple\}:\par \{I remember\} passing through the crowds\par as I led them all up to God’s temple.\par \{I remember\} the happy songs of praise\par as the crowds celebrated the festivals.\par


One day in your temple is better\par than a thousand days in any other place.\par Standing at the gate of my God’s house\par is better than living in the house\par of a wicked man.\par


Lord, I can’t wait to enter your temple.\par I'm so excited!\par Every part of me wants to be with\par the Living God.\par


“There are six days for working. But the seventh day will be a very special day of rest for you. You will honor the Lord by resting on that special day. Any person who works on the seventh day must be killed.


On the Sabbath [355] you should not even light a fire in any of the places where you live.”


The Lord says,\par “Your thoughts are not like my thoughts.\par Your ways are not like my ways.\par


We sinned and turned against the Lord.\par We turned away from him and left him.\par We planned evil things.\par We planned things that are against God.\par We have thought of these things\par and planned them in our hearts.\par


The priests will be the judges in court. They will follow my laws when they judge people. They will obey my laws and my rules at all my special feasts. They will respect my special days of rest and keep them holy.


“Each person among you must honor his mother and father and keep my special days of rest. [334] I am the Lord your God!


On the Lord’s day the Spirit {\cf2\super [9]} took control of me. I heard a loud voice behind me. It sounded like a trumpet.
