But you, God, never change.\par You will live forever!\par


We are your servants \{today\}.\par Our children will live here.\par And even their descendants will be here\par to worship you.\par


Who measured the oceans\par in the palm of his hand?\par Who used his hand to measure the sky?\par Who used a bowl to measure all the dust\par of the earth?\par Who used measuring scales to measure\par the mountains and hills?\par \{It was the Lord!\}\par


Look up to the skies.\par Who created all those stars?\par Who created all those ‘armies’\par \{in the sky\}?\par Who knows every star by name?\par \{The true God\} is very strong and powerful,\par so none of these stars is lost.”\par


People will see these things,\par and they will know\par that the Lord’s power did this.\par The people will see these things,\par and they will begin to understand.\par that the Holy One (God) of Israel\par did these things.”\par


Who told us about this before it happened?\par We should call him God. {\cf2\super [379]} \par \{Did one of your statues\par tell us these things\}?\par No! None of those statues\par told us anything.\par Those statues did not say a word—\par and those false gods can’t hear\par the words that you say.\par


He chases armies and is never hurt.\par He goes places he has never been before.\par


Who let people take the wealth from Jacob and Israel? The Lord allowed them to do this! We sinned against the Lord. So the Lord allowed people to take away our wealth. The people of Israel did not want to live the way the Lord wanted. The people of Israel did not listen to his teaching.


The Lord says, “You people are my witnesses. You are the servant that I chose. I chose you so you would help people to believe me. I chose you so you would understand that ‘I Am He’—\{I am the true God\}. There was no God before me, and there will be no God after me.


“I have always been God. When I do something, no person can change what I have done. And no person can save people from my power.”


“In the beginning, I told you about the things that will happen in the end. A long time ago, I told you things that had not yet happened. When I plan something—that thing happens. I do the things I want to do.


“Jacob, listen to me!\par Israel, I called you to be my people.\par So listen to me!\par I am the Beginning!\par And I am the End!\par


“The virgin {\cf2\super [15]} will be pregnant and will give birth to a son. They will name him Immanuel.” {\cf2\super [16]} (Immanuel means, “God with us.”)


Teach those people to obey everything that I have told you. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world.”


These things have been known\par from the beginning of time.’\par


God began by making one man (Adam). From him God made all the different people. God made them to live everywhere in the world. God decided exactly when and where they must live.


“‘Now, see that I and only I am God! There is no other God! I put people to death and I let people live. I can hurt people, and I can make them well. No one can save another person from my power!


The voice said, “Write in a book all these things you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”


When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man. He put his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.


The Lord God says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega. {\cf2\super [6]} I am the One who is, who \{always\} was, and who is coming. I am the All-Powerful.”


“Write this to the angel of the church in Smyrna:


I am the Alpha and the Omega, {\cf2\super [173]} the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
