God, remember, my life is only a breath.\par I will never see anything good again.\par


So I said,\par “Don’t let me die while I am still young.\par God, you will live forever and ever!\par


Long ago, you made the world.\par You made the sky with your own hands!\par


Those people refused to eat,\par and they almost died.\par


God’s followers, you should love the Lord!\par The Lord protects people that are loyal to him.\par But the Lord punishes people that brag about their own power.\par He gives them the punishment they deserve.\par


Every time you find work to do, do it the best you can. In the grave there is no work. There is no thinking, no knowledge, and there is no wisdom. And we are all going to that \{place of death\}.


At that time, Hezekiah became sick and almost died. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to see him.


This is the letter from Hezekiah when he became well from the sickness:


I was at the bottom of the sea,\par the place where mountains begin.\par I thought I was locked in this prison forever.\par But the Lord my God took me out\par of my grave!\par God, you gave me life again!\par


Truly in our own hearts we believed that we would die. But this happened so that we would not trust in ourselves. It happened so that we would trust in God, who raises people from death.
