Joseph’s brothers saw him coming from far away. They decided to make a plan to kill him.


When the Midianite traders came by, the brothers took Joseph out of the well. They sold him to the traders for 20 pieces of silver. The traders took him to Egypt.


Then Joseph put them all in prison for three days.


After Joseph buried his father, he and everyone in the group with him went back to Egypt.


So the brothers sent this message to Joseph:


But those evil people will be scared,\par like they have never been scared before!\par Those evil people are Israel’s enemies.\par God has rejected those evil people.\par So God’s people will defeat them,\par and God will scatter the bones\par of those evil people.\par


Evil people are afraid of everything. But a good person is as brave as a lion.


The survivors [449] will lose their courage in the land of their enemies. They will be scared of everything. They will run around like a leaf being blown by the wind. They will run like someone is chasing them with a sword. They will fall even when no one is chasing them!


They show that in their hearts they know what is right and wrong, the same as the law commands. And those people also show this by the way they feel about right and wrong. Sometimes their thoughts tell them that they did wrong, and this makes them guilty. And sometimes their thoughts tell them that they did right, and this makes them not guilty.)
