Isaac grew old, and his eyes became so weak he could not see clearly. One day he called his older son Esau to him. Isaac said, “Son!”


So Jacob went to his father and kissed him. Isaac smelled Esau’s clothes and blessed him. Isaac said,


Early the next morning, Laban kissed his grandchildren and his daughters goodbye. He blessed them and went back home.


Then Joseph kissed all his brothers and cried on them. After this, the brothers began talking with him.


Then Israel said to Joseph, “I never thought I would see your face again. But look! God has let me see you and your children.”


Then Israel saw Joseph’s sons. Israel said, “Who are these boys?”


Elisha immediately left his cows and ran after Elijah. Elisha said, “Let me kiss my mother and father goodbye. Then I will follow you.”


At that time, your arms will lose their strength. Your legs will become weak and bent. Your teeth will fall out and you will not be able to chew your food. Your eyes will not see clearly.


Look, the Lord’s power is enough to save you. He can hear you when you ask him for help.


Confuse the people. Make the people not able to understand the things they hear and see. If you don’t do this, then people might really understand the things they hear with their ears. The people might really understand in their minds. If they did this, then the people might come back to me and be healed (forgiven)!”


Moses was 120 years old when he died. He was as strong as ever, and his eyes were still good.


Eli’s eyes were so weak he was almost blind. One night he lay down in bed.
