About that time, Judah left his brothers and went to stay with a man named Hirah. Hirah was from the town of Adullam.


Tamar went home and took off the veil that covered her face. Then she again wore the special clothes that showed she was a widow.


Hirah asked some of the men at the town of Enaim, “Where is the prostitute that was here by the road?”


Amnon had a friend named Jonadab son of Shimeah. (Shimeah was David’s brother.) Jonadab was a very clever man.


“You must not hate your brother in your heart. If your neighbor does something wrong, then talk to him about it. But forgive him!
