13 Laban heard the news about his sister’s son Jacob. So Laban ran to meet him. Laban hugged him and kissed him and brought him to his house. Jacob told Laban everything that had happened.

Laban said, “Sir, you are welcome to come in! [136] You don’t have to stand outside here. I have prepared a room for you to sleep in and a place for your camels.”


So Abraham’s servant went into the house. Laban helped him with the camels and gave him straw for the camels to eat. Then Laban gave him water so he and the other men with him could wash their feet.


When Esau saw Jacob, he ran to meet him. Esau put his arms around Jacob and hugged his neck and kissed him. Then they both cried.


Then Joseph kissed all his brothers and cried on them. After this, the brothers began talking with him.


The king kissed Barzillai and blessed him. Barzillai went back home. And the king and all the people went across the river.


So Moses went out to meet his father-in-law. Moses bowed down before him and kissed him. The two men asked about each other’s health. Then they went into Moses’ tent to talk more.
