22 Isaac moved from there and dug another well. No men came to argue about that well. So Isaac named that well Rehoboth. [155] Isaac said, “Now the Lord has found a place for us. We will grow and be successful in this place.”

Then Isaac’s servants dug another well. The people of that place also argued because of that well. So Isaac named that well Sitnah. [154]


I pray that God All-Powerful [162] will bless you and give you many children. I pray that you will become the father of a great nation.


Joseph named the second son Ephraim. [240] Joseph gave him this name because Joseph said, “I had great troubles, but God has made me successful in everything.”


I was in trouble\par so I called to the Lord for help.\par The Lord answered me\par and made me free.\par


I will gladly obey your commands.\par Lord, your commands make me happy.\par


The Lord loves me,\par so he rescued me.\par He took me to a safe place.\par


My good God, answer me\par when I pray to you!\par Hear my prayer\par and be kind to me!\par Give me some relief from all my troubles!\par


But the people of Israel had many children, and their number grew and grew. The people of Israel became strong, and the country of Egypt was filled with the Israelites.


Make your tent bigger.\par Open your doors wide.\par Don’t stop adding to your home.\par Make your tent large and strong.\par


Why? Because you will grow very much.\par Your children will get people\par from many nations,\par Your children will again live in the cities\par that were destroyed.\par
