Abraham bowed his face to the ground {to show he respected God}. But he laughed and said to himself, “I am 100 years old. I can’t have a son. And Sarah is 90 years old. She can’t have a child.”


Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Sarah laughed and said she was too old to have a baby.


Elisha said {to the woman}, “About this time next spring, you will be hugging your own baby boy.”


We will be laughing\par and singing happy songs!\par People in other nations will say,\par “The Lord did a wonderful thing\par for the people of Israel.”\par


so the king will be pleased with your beauty.\par He will be your new husband. {\cf2\super [278]} \par So you must honor him.\par


But each one of you must love his wife like he loves himself. And a wife must respect her husband.


\{I am talking about women\} like Sarah. She obeyed Abraham, {\cf2\super [23]} her husband, and called him her master. And you women are true children of Sarah if you always do what is right and are not afraid.


At dawn, the woman came back to the house where her master was staying. She fell down at the front door. She lay there until it was daylight.
