But I am afraid that your minds will be led away from your true and pure following of Christ. This might happen the same as Eve was tricked (fooled) by the snake (the devil) with his evil ways.

Now am I your enemy because I tell you the truth?

It is good for people to show interest in you, but only if their purpose is good. This is always true. It is true when I am with you and when I am away.

Those false teachers boast with words that mean nothing. They lead people into the trap \{of sin\}. They lead away people who are just beginning to come away from other people who live wrong. Those false teachers do this by using the evil things people want to do in their sinful selves.

Those false teachers only want your money. So they will use you by telling you things that are not true. But the judgment against those false teachers has been ready for a long time. And they will not escape the One (God) who will destroy them.
