They had the job of making all holy things pure. It was their job to serve in God’s temple.

1 Chronicles 26:20

Ahijah was from the family group of Levi. Ahijah was responsible for taking care of the valuable things in God’s temple. {\cf2\super [290]} Ahijah also was responsible for the places where the holy things were kept.

2 Chronicles 24:14

When the workers finished, they brought the money that was left to King Joash and Jehoiada. They used that money to make things for the Lord’s temple.
