At that time, the Lord will judge\par Leviathan, {\cf2\super [246]} the crooked snake.\par The Lord will use his great sword,\par his hard and powerful sword, to punish\par Leviathan, the coiled snake.\par The Lord will kill\par the large creature in the sea. {\cf2\super [247]} \par

Zedekiah was the king of Judah. Nebuchadnezzar was Zedekiah’s enemy. And I gave Zedekiah to his enemy. In the same way, I will give Pharaoh Hophra to his enemy.’”

The Lord my Master says these things, “I am against Pharaoh, king of Egypt. I will break both his arms, the strong arm and the arm that is already broken. I will make the sword fall from his hand.


“Son of man, {\cf2\super [259]} sing this sad song about Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Say to him:


So, king, please accept my advice. I advise you to stop sinning and do what is right. Stop doing bad things. And be kind to poor people. Then you might continue to be successful.”

Then I saw another animal coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he talked like a giant snake.


This animal looked like a leopard, with feet like a bear’s feet. It had a mouth like a lion’s mouth. The giant snake \{on the seashore\} gave the animal all of his power and his throne and great authority.


People worshiped the giant snake because he had given his power to the animal. And the people also worshiped the animal. They asked, “Who is as powerful as the animal? Who can make war against him?”


Then I saw three unclean (evil) spirits that looked like frogs. They came out of the mouth of the giant snake, out of the mouth of the animal, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. {\cf2\super [121]}


The angel grabbed the giant snake (that old serpent). The giant snake is the devil (or Satan). The angel tied him \{with the chain\} for 1,000 years.
