And the woman said to Elijah, “You are a man of God. [194] Can you help me? Or did you come here only to cause me to remember all of my sins? Did you come here only to cause my son to die?”


then hear from heaven. Act, and judge your servants. Punish the bad person and make him suffer the same things he made other people suffer. Prove that the person that has done right is innocent.


And God has taken our sins\par as far away from us\par as the east is from the west.\par


The Lord’s teachings warn his servant.\par Good things come from obeying them.\par


Don’t remember the sins and bad things\par that I did when I was young.\par For your good name, Lord,\par remember me with love.\par


God, be merciful to me,\par because of your great loving kindness,\par because of your great mercy,\par erase all my sins.\par


“I, I am the One who wipes away all your sins. I do this to please myself. I will not remember your sins.


People will not have to teach their neighbors and relatives to know the Lord. Why? Because all people, from the least important to the greatest, will know me.” This message is from the Lord. “I will forgive them for the bad things they did. I won’t remember their sins.”


The Lord says,\par “At that time, people will try hard\par to find Israel’s guilt.\par But there will be no guilt.\par People will try to find Judah’s sins,\par but no sins will be found.\par Why? Because I am saving a few\par survivors {\cf2\super [410]} from Israel and Judah.\par And I am forgiving them\par for all of their sins.”\par


“Now, maybe a good man might stop being good. He might change his life and begin to do all the terrible things that bad person had done in the past. (That bad person changed, so he can live!) So if that good person changes and becomes bad, then God won’t remember all the good things that person did. God will remember that that man turned against him and began to sin. So that man will die because of his sin.”


I won’t remember the bad things he did in the past. Why? Because now he lives right and is fair. So he will live!


He will come back and comfort us again.\par He will crush our guilt\par and throw all of our sins\par into the deep sea.\par


So now people that are in Christ Jesus are not judged guilty.


And I will forgive the wrong things they do against me,\par and I will not remember their sins.”\par \i (Jeremiah 31:31-34)\i0 \par


Dear children, don’t let any person lead you into the wrong way. Christ is righteous (good). To be good like Christ, a person must do what is right (good).
