It is like the sweet smelling oil\par poured over Aaron’s head,\par running down into his beard\par which flows down\par over his special clothes.\par


I found my servant David.\par And I anointed {\cf2\super [506]} him with my special oil.\par


Put the clothes on your brother Aaron and his sons. Then pour the special oil on them to make them priests. This will make them holy, and they will serve me as priests.


Then put the special clothes on Aaron. Anoint [491] him with the oil and make him holy. [492] Then he can serve me as a priest.


\{The Lord’s servant says,\} “The Lord my Master put his Spirit in me. God chose me to tell good news to poor people and to comfort sad people. God sent me to tell the captives that they are free and to tell the prisoners that they have been set free.


But you must not even leave the entrance of the Meeting Tent. If you leave, then you will die! Why? Because the Lord’s anointing oil [117] is on you.” So Aaron, Eleazar, and Ithamar obeyed Moses.


“The high priest was chosen from among his brothers. The anointing oil [377] was poured on his head. In this way, he was chosen for the special job of being high priest. He was chosen to wear the special clothes. {So he must not do things to show his sadness in public.} He must not let his hair grow wild. He must not tear his clothes.


The high priest must not go out of God’s holy place. {Then he might become unclean,} and {then he might} make God’s holy place unclean. The anointing oil was poured on the high priest’s head. This separated him {from the rest of the people}. I am the Lord!


Those are the parts from the offerings made by fire to the Lord that were given to Aaron and his sons. Whenever Aaron and his sons serve as the Lord’s priests, they get that share of the sacrifices.


So he said, “They represent the two men chosen {\cf2\super [9]} to serve the Lord of the whole world.”


If the community decides to protect the killer from the dead man’s family, then the community must take him back to his city of safety. And the killer must stay there until the official high priest [389] dies.


God sent him (Jesus). And he tells the things that God says. God gives \{him\} the Spirit {\cf2\super [56]} fully.


Christ gave you a special gift. {\cf2\super [8]} You still have this gift in you. So you don’t need any person to teach you. The gift he gave you teaches you about everything. This gift is true. It is not false. So continue to live in Christ, like his gift taught you.
