They came to Kidon’s threshing floor. {\cf2\super [142]} The bulls pulling the wagon stumbled. And the Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [143]} almost fell. Uzzah reached out with his hand to catch the Box.

So Moses went down to the people and told them these things.

{God} told Moses, “You, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the 70 elders (leaders) of Israel must come up the mountain and worship me from a distance.

Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the 70 elders (leaders) of Israel went up the mountain.

Then Moses said to Aaron, “The Lord says, ‘The priests that come near me must respect me! I must be holy to them and to all the people.’” So Aaron did not say anything {about his sons dying}.

Since the time John the Baptizer came until now, the kingdom of heaven has been going forward strongly. {\cf2\super [138]} People using force have been trying to get the kingdom.

“Try hard to enter through the narrow door \{that opens the way to heaven\}! Many people will try to enter there, but they will not be able to enter.

The law was given through Moses. But grace and \{the way of\} truth came through Jesus Christ.

Why? Because the law can only bring God’s anger \{when the law is not obeyed\}. But if there is no law, then there is nothing to disobey.

So what was the law {\cf2\super [39]} for? The law was given to show the wrong things people do. The law would continue until the special Descendant of Abraham came. This is the Descendant mentioned in the promise. \{The promise came directly from God.\} But the law was given through angels. The angels used \{Moses for\} a mediator {\cf2\super [40]} to give the law to people.

But this is not true, because the Scriptures {\cf2\super [42]} showed that all people are bound by sin. Why did the Scriptures do this? So that the promise would be given to people through faith. The promise is given to people who believe in Jesus Christ.

Who were those people who heard God’s voice and were against him? It was all those people that Moses led out of Egypt.
