But Job, you might say,\par ‘What does God know?\par Can God see through the dark clouds\par and judge us?\par


People can suddenly die,\par in the middle of the night.\par People become sick and pass away.\par Even powerful people die\par for no apparent reason.\par


But if God decides not to help them,\par then no person can judge God guilty.\par If God hides himself from people,\par then no person can find him.\par God is the ruler over people and nations.\par


Yes, Job! Look at those proud people\par and make them humble.\par Crush evil people where they stand.\par


The Lord can just look at the earth,\par and it will shake.\par He can touch the mountains\par and smoke will begin to rise from them.\par


But then those kings saw it,\par and they were amazed.\par They all panicked and ran away!\par


Each day God led them with the tall cloud.\par And each night God led them with\par the light from the column of fire.\par


To you, a thousand years is like yesterday,\par like last night.\par


The wheels of the chariots became stuck. It was very hard to control the chariots. The Egyptians shouted, “Let’s get out of here! The Lord is fighting against us. The Lord is fighting for the people of Israel.”


If they are captured\par and taken away by their enemies,\par I will command the sword,\par and it will kill them there.\par Yes, I will watch over them,\par but I will watch for ways\par to give them troubles,\par not for ways to do good things.”\par


The next morning Saul separated his soldiers into three groups. At sunrise, Saul and his soldiers entered the Ammonite camp. Saul attacked while they were changing guards that morning. Saul and his soldiers defeated the Ammonites before noon. The Ammonite soldiers all ran away in different directions—no two soldiers stayed together.
