Cain said to his brother Abel, {“Let’s go out to the field.”} So Cain and Abel went to the field. Then Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.


After she had finished her time of sadness, David sent servants to take her to his house. She became David’s wife and gave birth to a son for David. But the Lord did not like the bad thing David had done.


I had two sons. They were out in the field fighting. There was no one to stop them. One son killed the other son.


Moses said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you? Why did you lead them to do such a bad sin?”


If two people sleep together, they will be warm. But a person sleeping alone will not be warm.


Two people are better than one. When two people work together, they get more from the work they do.


Brothers and sisters, a person in your group might do something wrong. You people who are spiritual should go to the person who is sinning. You should help to make him right again. You should do this in a gentle way. But be careful! You might be tempted to sin, too.


So encourage each other with these words.


So encourage each other and make each other stronger \{in faith\}. And you are doing that now.


But Saul’s son Jonathan went to see David at Horesh. Jonathan helped David to have a stronger faith in God.
