Then Jesus left the people and went into the house. His followers came to him and said, “Explain to us the meaning of the story about the weeds in the field.”


Peter said, “Explain to us what you said earlier to the people.”


So Philip got ready and went. On the road he saw a man from Ethiopia. This man was a eunuch. {\cf2\super [173]} He was an important officer in the service of Candace, the queen of the Ethiopians. He was responsible for taking care of all her money. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship.


He was shamed, and all his rights\par were taken away.\par His life on earth was ended.\par There will be no story\par about his family (descendants).”\par \i (Isaiah 53:7-8)\i0 \par


Philip began to speak. He started with this same Scripture and told the man the Good News {\cf2\super [179]} about Jesus.
