24 Moses saw an Egyptian man doing wrong to an Israelite man. So he defended the Israelite. Moses punished the Egyptian for hurting the Israelite; Moses hit him so hard that he died.

Moses grew and became a man. He saw that his own people, the Hebrews, [10] were forced to work very hard. One day Moses saw an Egyptian man beating a Hebrew man.


Moses looked around and saw that no one was watching. Then Moses killed the Egyptian and buried him in the sand.


“When Moses was about 40 years old, he thought it would be good to visit his brothers, the Israelites. {\cf2\super [131]}


Moses thought that his Israelite brothers would understand that God was using him to save them. But they did not understand.


Will you kill me like you killed the Egyptian man yesterday?’ {\cf2\super [132]}
