Jonadab said to Amnon, “Go to bed. Act like you are sick. Then your father will come to see you. Tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come in and give me food to eat. Let her make the food in front of me. Then I will see it, and eat it from her hand.’”


Why? Because those people planned\par bad things against you, Lord.\par They planned to do bad things,\par but they didn’t succeed.\par


Those bad people race to do bad things. They are in a hurry to kill someone!


Bad people can’t sleep until they do something wrong. Those people can’t sleep until they hurt some other person.


Those people use their feet to run to evil. They hurry to kill people that have done nothing wrong. They think evil thoughts. Rioting and stealing is their way of living.


Then the soldiers with their commander and the Jewish guards arrested Jesus. They tied Jesus


Paul looked at the Jewish council meeting and said, “Brothers, I have lived my life in a good way before God. I have always done what I thought was right.”


Some of the men in the meeting were Sadducees {\cf2\super [454]} and some others were Pharisees. {\cf2\super [455]} So Paul had an idea: He shouted to them, “My brothers, I am a Pharisee and my father was a Pharisee! I am on trial here because I hope (believe) that people will rise from death!”


They asked Festus to do something for them; the Jews wanted Festus to send Paul back to Jerusalem. They had a plan to kill Paul on the way.
