Lord, those people do bad things\par to other people.\par So make bad things happen to them.\par Give them the punishment they deserve.\par


My Master, your love is real.\par You reward or punish a person\par for the things he does.\par


Lord, you understand me.\par Remember me and take care of me.\par People are hurting me.\par Give those people the punishment\par that they deserve.\par You are being patient with those people.\par But don’t destroy me\par while you remain patient with them.\par Think about me.\par Think about the pain I suffer for you, Lord.\par


Give them back what they deserve, Lord!\par Pay them back for what they have done!\par


My friends, don’t try to punish people when they do wrong to you. Wait for God to punish them with his anger. It is written: “I am the One who punishes; I will pay people back,” {\cf2\super [132]} says the Lord.


God will reward or punish every person for the things that person has done.


God will do what is right. He will give trouble to those people who trouble you.


Hymenaeus and Alexander are men like that. I have given those men to Satan (the devil) so that they will learn not to speak against God.


You have known the Holy Scriptures {\cf2\super [19]} since you were a child. Those Scriptures are able to make you wise. And that wisdom leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.


These people always complain and find wrong \{in other people\}. They always do the \{evil\} things they want to do. They boast about themselves. The only reason they say good things about other people is to get what they want.


Be happy because of this, O heaven!\par Be happy, God’s holy people {\cf2\super [134]} and apostles {\cf2\super [135]} and prophets {\cf2\super [136]} !\par God has punished her because of the things she did to you.’”\par


Give that city the same as she gave to others.\par Pay her back twice as much as she did.\par Prepare wine for her that is twice as strong as the wine she prepared for others.\par


These souls shouted in a loud voice, “Holy and true Lord, how long until you judge the people of the earth and punish them for killing us?”


Let the Lord be the judge! The Lord might punish you for the wrong you did me. But I myself won’t fight you.
