My Master, Lord All-Powerful, don’t let your followers be ashamed of me.\par God of Israel, don’t let your worshipers be embarrassed because of me.\par


God, how much longer will the enemy\par make fun of us?\par Will you let them insult your name forever?\par


The man that the Lord disciplines\par will be very happy.\par God will teach that person\par the right way of living.\par


Lord our God, you answered their prayers.\par You showed them\par that you are a forgiving God and\par that you punish people\par for the bad things they do.\par


Now look what has happened! Another nation has taken my people. That country did not pay to take my people. This nation rules my people and laughs at them. Those people always say bad things about me.”

I feel sorry for the people in the world because of the things that make people sin. Those things must happen. But it will be very bad for the person that causes those things to happen.


It is written in the Scriptures {\cf2\super [19]} : “The non-Jews say bad things about God because of you \{Jews\}.” {\cf2\super [20]}


Never do anything that might make other people do wrong—Jews, Greeks (non-Jews), or God’s church.


The Lord punishes every person he loves,\par and he punishes every person\par he accepts as a child.”\par \i (Proverbs 3:11-12)\i0 \par


“I correct and punish those people that I love. So start trying hard! Change your hearts and lives!
