The other things that Jehoiakim did are written in the book The History of the Kings of Judah.


King Nebuchadnezzar from Babylon attacked Judah. He made Jehoiakim a prisoner and put bronze chains on him. Then Nebuchadnezzar took King Jehoiakim to Babylon.


The other things that Jehoiakim did, the terrible sins he did and everything he was guilty of doing, are written in the book, The History of the Kings of Israel and Judah. Jehoiachin became the new king in Jehoiakim’s place. Jehoiachin was Jehoiakim’s son.


“As surely as I live,” this message is from the Lord, “I will do this to you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah: Even if you were a signet ring {\cf2\super [180]} on my right hand, I would still pull you off.


So, this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim king of Judah: Jehoiakim’s descendants {\cf2\super [317]} will not sit on David’s throne. When Jehoiakim dies, he will not get a king’s funeral, but his body will be thrown out on the ground. His body will be left out in the heat of the day and the cold frost of the night.
