In the past you said, ‘I will be honored there.’ So please watch this temple night and day. Please listen to the prayer that I pray to you at this temple.


It is true, Lord. The kings of Assyria did destroy all those nations!


The commander’s master, the king of Assyria, has sent him to say bad things about the living God. Maybe the Lord your God will hear all those things. Maybe the Lord will punish the enemy! So pray for the people that are still left alive.’”


Now, my God, I ask you, open your eyes and your ears. Listen and pay attention to the prayers we are praying in this place.


God, listen to me.\par Come quickly and save me.\par Be my Rock, {\cf2\super [186]} \par Be my place of safety.\par Be my fortress. {\cf2\super [187]} \par Protect me!\par


God, get up and fight!\par Remember, those fools challenged you!\par
