The king says, ‘Don’t let Hezekiah fool you! He can’t save you from my power!’


But who did you insult and make fun of? Who did you speak against? You were against the Holy One of Israel! You acted like you were better than him!


Isaiah said to them, “Give your master Hezekiah this message: ‘The Lord says: Don’t be afraid of the things that the officers of the king of Assyria have said to make fun of me.


I trust the Lord.\par So why did you tell me \{to run and hide\}?\par \{You told me,\}\par “Fly like a bird to your mountain!”\par


But, Lord, you are my shield.\par You are my Glory.\par Lord, you make me important! {\cf2\super [8]} \par


People, how long will you say bad things about me?\par You people keep looking for new lies \{to tell about me\}.\par You people love telling those lies.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [15]})\i0 \par


My heart breaks as I remember\par \{the good times I had at the temple\}:\par \{I remember\} passing through the crowds\par as I led them all up to God’s temple.\par \{I remember\} the happy songs of praise\par as the crowds celebrated the festivals.\par


My enemies said,“Go get him!God left him.And no person will help him.”


Don’t throw me away just because I am old.Don’t leave me as I lose my strength.


He trusted God. So let God save him now, if God really wants him. He himself said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”


The people stood there watching \{Jesus\}. The Jewish leaders laughed at Jesus. They said, “If he is God’s Chosen One, the Christ, {\cf2\super [378]} then let him save himself. He saved other people, didn’t he?”
