The Lord commanded those things to happen to Judah. In this way, he would take them out of his sight. He did this because of all the sins that Manasseh did.


But Neco sent messengers to Josiah. They said, “King Josiah, this war is not your problem. I didn’t come to fight against you. I came to fight my enemies. God told me to hurry. God is on my side, so don’t bother me. If you fight against me, God will destroy you!”


If a trumpet blows a warning, then the people will surely shake with fear. If trouble comes to a city, then the Lord caused it.
