23 Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Recab went into the temple [127] of Baal. Jehu said to the worshipers of Baal, “Look around and be sure that there are no servants of the Lord with you. Be sure there are only people that worship Baal.”

Two men went to see to Saul’s son (Ish Bosheth). These two men were captains in the army. They were Recab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon from Beeroth. {(They were Benjamites because the town Beeroth belonged to the family group of Benjamin.


Jehu said to the man that kept the robes, “Bring out the robes for all the worshipers of Baal.” So that man brought out the robes for the Baal worshipers.


The worshipers of Baal went into the temple of Baal to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings.


But the Recabite people answered, “We never drink wine. We never drink it because our ancestor {\cf2\super [294]} Jonadab son of Recab, gave us this command: ‘You and your descendants {\cf2\super [295]} must never drink wine.


Let the weeds and the wheat grow together until the harvest time. At the harvest time I will tell the workers this: First gather the weeds and tie them together to be burned. Then gather the wheat and bring it to my barn.’”


The Son of Man {\cf2\super [189]} will send his angels, and his angels will find the people that cause sin and all people that do evil. The angels will take those people out of his kingdom.
