4 You are very patient with any person who comes to you and tells you things about Jesus that are different from the things we told you. Then Jesus said to them: “You think you are smart! You ignore the commands of God so that you can follow your own teachings!


Jesus is the only One who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save people. We must be saved through Jesus!”


The Spirit {\cf2\super [65]} that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we say, “Abba, {\cf2\super [66]} Father.”


The foundation has already been built. No person can build any other foundation. The foundation that has already been built is Jesus Christ.


I wish you would be patient with me even when I am a little foolish. But you are already patient with me.


I went to Troas to tell people the Good News {\cf2\super [6]} of Christ. The Lord gave me a good opportunity there.


Tell me this one thing: How did you receive the Spirit {\cf2\super [19]} ? Did you receive the Spirit by following the law {\cf2\super [20]} ? No! You received the Spirit because you heard \{the Good News {\cf2\super [21]} \} and believed it.


I want you to stay in Ephesus. I asked you to do that when I went into Macedonia. Some people there in Ephesus are teaching false things. Stay there so that you can command those people not to teach those false things.


There is only one God. And there is only one way that people can reach God. That way is through Jesus Christ, who is also a man.
