14 and if my people who are called by my name become humble and pray, and look for me, and turn away from their evil ways, then I will hear them from heaven. And I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land.

Jehoshaphat became afraid, and he decided to ask the Lord what to do. He announced a time of fasting {\cf2\super [223]} for everyone in Judah.


The people of Judah came together to ask for help from the Lord. They came from out of all the towns of Judah to ask for the Lord’s help.


then hear from heaven. Hear and forgive their sins. The people of Israel are your servants. Then teach them the right way that they should live. And send rain on your land. That is the land you gave to your people.


then hear from heaven. Heaven is where you live. Hear and forgive. Give to each person what he should get, because you know what is in each person’s heart. Only you know what is in a person’s heart.


then in heaven where you live, listen to the stranger and answer his prayer. Then all the people of the earth will know your name and respect you, the same as your people Israel respects you. And all the people of the earth will know that this temple I built is called by your name.


Lord, I want to talk with you.\par I want to speak to you from my heart.\par I come before you to speak with you.\par


You shook the earth and split it open.\par Our world is falling apart.\par Please fix it.\par


A person that hides his sins will not be successful. But a person that confesses his sins and stops doing wrong will receive mercy.


I did not speak in secret.\par I have spoken freely.\par I did not hide my words\par in a dark place of the world.\par I did not tell the people of Jacob\par to look for me in empty places.\par I am the Lord, and I speak the truth.\par I say things that are true.”\par


Then a Savior will come to Zion. {\cf2\super [450]} \par He will come to the people of Jacob\par that sinned but came back to God.\par


Some people don’t follow you.\par Those people don’t wear your name.\par


You seem like a man that has been attacked by surprise.\par You seem like a soldier that does not have the power to save anyone.\par But Lord, you are with us.\par We are called by your name,\par So don’t leave us without help!”\par


“But then I will heal the people in that city. I will let those people enjoy peace and safety.


The Lord says,\par “At that time, the people of Israel\par and the people of Judah will be together.\par They will cry and cry together.\par And together, they will go to look\par for the Lord their God.\par


We tried to heal Babylon,\par but she can’t be healed.\par So let us leave her,\par and let each of us\par go to our own country.\par God in heaven will decide\par Babylon’s punishment.\par He will decide what will happen to Babylon.\par

“And Son of man, {\cf2\super [268]} say to your people: ‘The good things a person did in the past won’t save him if he becomes bad and begins to sin. And the bad things a person did in the past won’t destroy him if he turns from his evil. So remember, the good things a person did in the past won’t save him if he begins to sin.’


Then the Lord said, “In that way, Aaron and his sons will use my name to give a blessing to the people of Israel. And I will bless them.”


The Lord said to Ananias, “Get up and go to the street called Straight Street. Find the house of Judas. {\cf2\super [187]} Ask for a man named Saul from the city of Tarsus. He is there now, praying.


Then all the people in that land will see that you are called by the name of the Lord. And they will be afraid of you.
