20 Azariah the leading priest and all the priests looked at Uzziah. They could see the leprosy on his forehead. The priests quickly forced Uzziah out from the temple. Uzziah himself hurried out because the Lord had punished him.
20 And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.
20 And as Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked upon him, behold, he was leprous on his forehead! So they forced him out of there; and he also made haste to get out, because the Lord had smitten him.

20 When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests turned and saw the skin disease on his forehead, they rushed him out of there. Uzziah also was anxious to leave because the LORD had afflicted him.
20 And when the high priest Azariah, and all the rest of the priests, had gazed upon him, they saw the leprosy on his forehead, and they hurried to expel him. Then too, he himself, becoming terrified, rushed to depart, because immediately he had become aware of the wound of the Lord.
20 And Azarias the high priest, and all the rest of the priests looked upon him, and saw the leprosy in his forehead; and they made haste to thrust him out. Yea himself also being frightened hasted to go out, because he had quickly felt the stroke of the Lord.
But Uzziah was angry. He had a bowl in his hand for burning incense. {\cf2\super [303]} While Uzziah was very angry at the priests, leprosy {\cf2\super [304]} came up on his forehead. This happened in front of the priests in the Lord’s temple {\cf2\super [305]} by the altar {\cf2\super [306]} for burning incense.
Uzziah the king was a leper. {\cf2\super [307]} He could not enter the Lord’s temple. Uzziah’s son Jotham controlled the king’s house and became governor for the people.
The priest must look at that person. If there is a white swelling in the skin, and if the hair has become white, and if the skin looks raw in the swelling,
“I am giving the land of Canaan to your people. Your people will enter that land. At that time, I might cause mildew [214] to grow in some person’s house.
The Lord will punish you with diseases, fever, and swelling. The Lord will send you terrible heat and you will have no rain. Your crops will die from the heat and disease. [182] All these bad things will happen until you are destroyed!
The Lord will punish you with sore boils that can’t be healed. These boils will be on your knees and legs. The boils will be on every part of your body—from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head.
