Then Joshua said to Achan, “Son, {say your prayers}. You should honor the Lord God of Israel and confess your sins to him. Tell me what you did, and don’t try to hide anything from me!”


Again the Lord called, “Samuel!” Again Samuel ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. You called me.”


The Benjamite man answered, “Israel ran away from the Philistines. The Israelite army has lost many soldiers. Your two sons are both dead. And the Philistines took God’s Holy Box. [48] ”
