24 Saul even took off his clothes. Saul lay there naked all day and all night. So even Saul was prophesying there in front of Samuel.

David was dancing in front of the Lord. David was wearing a linen ephod. [45]


David went back to bless his house. But Saul’s daughter Michal came out to meet him. Michal said, “The king of Israel did not honor himself today! You took off your clothes in front of your servants’ girls. [48] You were like a fool who takes off his clothes without shame!”


At that time, the Lord spoke through Isaiah son of Amoz. The Lord said, “Go, take the cloth of sadness off your waist. Take your shoes off your feet.” Isaiah obeyed the Lord. And Isaiah walked around without clothes and without shoes.


I will be very sad about what will happen.\par I will go without shoes and clothes.\par I will cry like a dog. {\cf2\super [11]} \par I will mourn like a bird. {\cf2\super [12]} \par


I heard this message from God. I saw what God All-Powerful [299] showed me. I humbly tell what I clearly see.


All the people that heard Saul were amazed. They said, “This is the same man that was in Jerusalem. He was trying to destroy the people that trust in this name (Jesus)! He (Saul) has come here to do the same thing. He came here to arrest the followers \{of Jesus\} and take them back \{to Jerusalem\} to the leading priests.”


Then the Lord’s Spirit will come on you with great power. You will be changed. You will be like a different man. You will begin to prophesy with these prophets.


After that Samuel never saw Saul again all his life. Samuel was very sad for Saul. And the Lord was very sorry that he had made Saul king of Israel.


The next day, a bad spirit from God took control of Saul. Saul became wild [166] in his house. David played the harp like he usually did.
