An evil person only wants to do wrong. In the end, God will send a messenger to punish him.


Son, respect the Lord and the king. And don’t join with the people that are against them.


Also, do good things for the city I sent you to. Pray to the Lord for the city you are living in. Why? Because if there is peace in that city, then you will have peace also.”


The men answered, “It is Caesar’s picture and Caesar’s name.”


Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar {\cf2\super [159]} the things that are Caesar’s. And give to God the things that are God’s.” The men were amazed at what Jesus said.

Be willing to serve each other. Do this because you respect Christ.

Show respect for all people. Love all the brothers and sisters of God’s family. Fear (respect) God, and honor the king.


That punishment is for those people who live by doing the bad things their sinful selves want, and it is for people who hate the Lord’s authority (power).
