Ahaz son of Jotham became king of Judah during the 17th year that Pekah son of Remaliah was king of Israel.


Ahaz {died and} was buried with his ancestors [196] in the City of David. [197] Ahaz’s son Hezekiah became the new king after him.


Hezekiah son of Ahaz was king of Judah. Hezekiah began to rule during the third year that Hoshea son of Elah was king of Israel.


Hezekiah died and was buried with his ancestors. [250] And Hezekiah’s son Manasseh became the new king after him.


Joash’s son was Amaziah. Amaziah’s son was Azariah. Azariah’s son was Jotham.


Manasseh’s son was Amon. Amon’s son was Josiah.


This happened during the time that Hezekiah was king of Judah. Those men came to Gedor and fought against the Hamite people. They destroyed the tents of the Hamite people. Those men also fought against the Meunite people that lived there. These men destroyed all the Meunite people. There are no Meunite people in this place even today. So those men began to live there. They lived there because the land had grass for their sheep.


Hezekiah became king when he was 25 years old. He ruled 29 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah. Abijah was Zechariah’s daughter.


Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king of Judah. He was king for 55 years in Jerusalem.
